But I don’t believe in God!? Really?

“A story about free will: when science meets God.”

Today we acknowledge that there are 4 fundamental forces governing nature.

So far science found:

1.       Gravitation (“General Relativity”)

2.       Electromagnetic (“Quantum Electrodynamics”)

3.       Weak Interaction (“Elektroweak Theory”)

4.       Strong Interaction (“Quantum Chromodynamics”)

Tomorrow, science will no doubt find other ‘fundamental’ laws of nature, whereby we can (re)measure and predict with increased accuracy all elemental behaviour around us in the entire known universe, even including the so called ‘black holes’. Natural forces guiding all matter, even the dark one. Research centre “CERN” in Geneva is trying to figure out just that. Examine all the building blocks of matter and trying to match all patterns of creation back together again, making use of energy, time and space.

Increased knowledge and true understanding, should at the very best, explain all traceable creation. That’s the goal. Visible or invisible, but measurable and preferably reproducible. Today our knowledge in science is great (in our eyes), but will be called elementary and basic within millenniums to come. For sure. It has always been like that.

Seeking all knowledge possible, ‘the’ strive of mankind. A quest for finding out our very existence and reason of all. Philosophically approached, from the invisible and unspoken ‘perfection’, towards the visible ‘shadow’ and back. For sure, true science will use every known method to prove their thesis’.

Highly respectable and many well-known scientists believe in that ultimate goal. To find the “theory or force, that governs all”. It’s human logic. Observing nature, acknowledging all is related to all and from action there is reaction, it just cannot be that those 4 ‘separate’ fundamental forces co-exist independently, one besides the other. These forces are also subject to interaction among themselves. So by definition, there must be one ultimate, but still unknown ‘Force’, that governs all, or in brief, “The Theory of Everything”.

Now, let us do a small test together, right now, if you please.

While reading this site, looking at your screen, seek a pencil nearby you. Get one now.

Pick up the pencil in your hand. Now put it down in front of you. Once.

Pick up the pencil in your hand once again. Now put it down again in front of you. The second time.

Now imagine you have knowledge of the “theory of everything”, this ultimate goal of the scientists. An impossibility right now, but just imagine you know and as such you are able to predict and calculate everything (!). Science is about action and reaction. No movement comes forth from nothing.

This means in fact, that ‘you’ picking up your pencil just a moment ago, twice (if you actually did of course), was already written in the scenes of time from the very beginning of the universe.

Assuming a ‘big bang’ theory from a pure scientific point of view, all came into existence from one single blow. Coming all out of the highest concentration of energy, actually from one single dot. Let’s play along now and we can easily predict with our ‘theory of everything’, how in split seconds after the bang, all matter came into existence. Not only how, but also when and where. Molecules colliding with molecules, forming new elements by fusion, complete solar systems, stars and planets, earth and eventually men. Thus +14 billions of years of “action and reaction” brings us with absolute predictive perfection now back to ‘you’.

Pick up the pencil once again. Now put it down in front of you. For the third time.

So what are you actually saying? That ‘you’, picking up that pencil, three times already, was written in ‘the science of all’, already billions of years ago, predestined? Or was it ‘you’ that did this (or not, because you didn’t want to seek a pencil)?

That’s free will.

So either you believe science could have predicted your pencil action already billions of years ago? Or you believe you actually have a ‘free will’ to do so, explained by you, although only by approximation of true motive. So arbitrary- or chaos theory application?

No. This is called life.

The very collision point between the ‘theory of everything’ and God. In fact, there is no discrepancy between the ‘theory of everything’ and God. Life ‘is’ the theory of everything and only in God ‘is’ life. It’s no collision point, “He is”.

But doesn’t the Bible teach that the world is created thousands and not billions of years ago and even in one week, including rest on the 7th, 'sanctified' day? Yes it does. ‘This’ world, not void and without form, but including the ‘life’ given by His breath. ‘This’ world, not the universe, nor other ‘worlds’.

Seek out every necessary axiom or postulate needed, all thesis’ and every shortcoming in scientific and ‘currently accepted’ theories. You’ll find out yourself what is ‘truth’.

I cannot believe!?

That’s why it’s called having faith. Have “faith” in God, “you’ll see”, or to quote from the book of Job:

Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said, Who [is] this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge? Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me. Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. [JOB 38:1-4]

Moreover the LORD answered Job, and said, Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct [him?] he that reproveth God, let him answer it. Then Job answered the LORD, and said, Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth. Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will proceed no further. [JOB 40:1-5]

True and honest science will ultimately confirm … in the very end.

Maybe God does exist, but still I don’t believe the Bible is His Word!

First of all, one has to read the Bible first in order to state, “I don’t believe in the Bible”. Not just quotes, comments or verses here and there, but the ‘whole’ Book, from cover to cover. No one can find out before he or she has read, so be true to yourself. Make sure you do, before making bold statements. Sounds honest and logical, no?
